We require the names of our clients in order to conduct our business. You name will be used in conjunction with your appointments (including but not limited to scheduling, phone calls, and mailings) and any marketing material we send you.
Birthdate
We collect birthdates from our clients to send them birthday wishes and for demographic data to help us better target the various demographics of our clients. This data is strictly given on a voluntary basis. You may also ask us to delete this data at any time by contacting us via the contact details above.
Address
We collect the mailing address of our clients to send them physical advertisements, salon updates, and birthday wishes. This information is given on a strictly voluntary basis. You may ask us to delete or change this data at any time by contacting us via the contact details above.
Email Address
We collect email addresses in order to contact our clients about their appointments, send updates and reminders, and to send marketing messages regarding (but not limited to) available appointment times, product discounts, and special events.
Gender
We may collect or ask for information about your preferred gender when we add you as a client. This is for demographic purposes. It is also optional and you may decline to answer, or change your answer at any time by contacting us via the contact details above.
Phone Number
We collect phone numbers from our clients in order to contact them about their appointments, including appointment reminders, updates, changes and missed appointments. We also send text messages to clients who provide us with their cell phone number. Clients may opt out of text messaging, if they prefer, by telling us they do not wish to receive texts or by contacting us via the contact details above.

Cookies
Our website, h2osalonurbana.com, utilizes cookies in order to improve the visitor experience. Data collected includes information about what pages users visited and user browsing behavior.
Google Analytics
We use the service, Google Analytics, to evaluate the traffic that we receive on our website, h2osalonurbana.com. This includes information about how many people visit our site, what pages are visited the most, and what keywords and links lead people to our site. The data collected through Google Analytics is not personally identifiable.
Technical Data
If you contact us via the contact page on our site, we will be provided with your IP address, your user agent string (information on what browser and operating system you are using), and any other technology you might be utilizing to contact us (mobile, desktop, etc.).

We will use the Facebook Pixel and Facebook Custom Audience tools to deliver and target ads on social media (e.g. Facebook) to those who have visited our site. Requests for Appointment
When you contact us via email, phone, or using the Vagaro service in order to request or schedule an appointment, we receive any data you communicate to us, including your name, contact information (phone, email, address), and your requested appointment information. We also receive any additional information input into form fields or through email or phone communication, such as your requested appointment time, your hair type, and any specialized cut, color or service requests. Applications for Open Employment Positions
When you submit information via our Careers page, via email, or in person at the salon, we retain the information you submit for use in making employment decisions. This information may include—but is not limited to—your name, phone number, address, email address, website, previous employment, education, and contact information of references. This may also include your cover letter and resume, along with any other material or information contained therein which you submit to us in the course of applying for an open position with H2o Salon. If you wish us to no longer retain this information, you need to contact us using the contact details above.
Marketing
H2o Salon engages in marketing through email, social media, and physical platforms such as (but not limited to) posters, postcards, and other mailings.
In the case of marketing such as mailings, postcards, and other physical marketing material, you may opt out of these mailings by contacting us via the contact details above.
In the case of email marketing, you must unsubscribe using the ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of emails received from us.
For opting out of social media advertisements, you will need to visit your settings pages on your social media accounts. An example of this would be Facebook ads, where you will need to change your settings on Facebook per the most up-to-date instructions on Facebook’s site. Wifi Services
When you use the wifi service provided by H2o Salon, we may collect information about your use, including information about the device you are using (mobile phone, tablet, e-reader device, laptop, smart watch, or other wifi enabled device). We may also collect your network information including IP address and user agent, your browser, and any date and time stamps regarding your connection to our wifi services. Data related to downloads or uploads may also be collected.
While our wifi is password protected, the service is available to all clients and visitors to the salon and thus its security cannot be reasonably assured at all times. By using the wifi service at H2o Salon, you agree and acknowledge that you do so at your own risk and you assume all responsibility for protecting your devices and data, including but not limited to using up-to-date virus protection and firewalls on your devices. H2o Salon, its owner, members, employees, stylists, technicians, trainees, contractors, affiliates, successors and assigns do not claim or hold any liability related to your use or connection with our wifi service, including any liability for what sites you visit, what you do on those sites, nor any damages you, your equipment, devices, software, hardware, or data might sustain through use of our wifi service.
Third Parties and Disclosure of Data
We use Vagaro to maintain our client database, to schedule our appointments, and to handle processing of all transactions. When you become a client of H2o Salon, your information is thus shared with Vagaro. We utilize security measures to maintain the safety of your data, as does Vagaro. In addition to Vagaro, we also use MailChimp to send some marketing emails as well. Thus, if you have signed up for our mailing list on our website at h2osalonurbana.com/be-an-insider, you will receive emails sent to you from us using Mailchimp’s services. Your email address, IP address, name, birthday (if provided by you) and user agent string, will be stored on Mailchimp’s servers. If at any time you wish to be removed from this list, you must unsubscribe using the ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of any emails you receive from us. If you change your mind later, you must resubscribe. We will not and cannot manually add you back onto our list. We utilize social media for marketing and communication purposes. This includes use of retargeting via the Facebook Pixel and Facebook Custom Audiences, which is detailed above in the section entitled Facebook Pixel and Facebook Custom Audiences.

Our salon provides haircuts and services for children as well as adults. With parent/guardian permission, we may input the names and contact details of children into our database. This is used for appointment and billing purposes only. If at any time, a parent or guardian wishes the child’s information removed from our system, they must contact us using the contact details at the start of this document.
